Un bel pranzo all'Osteria della Luna e un giretto a Pontremoli - A nice lunch at Osteria della Luna and a walk in Pontremoli

Per il ponte dell'Immacolata sono andata in Toscana a Marina di Pisa, dove teniamo la barca.

Lungo la strada abbiamo deciso di fermarci a mangiare all'Osteria della Luna a Pontremoli. Ne avevo già parlato in un altro post, ma avendo provato piatti nuovi ed essendo entrato di diritto nella mia lista dei ristoranti del cuore... Un altro post su questo posto meraviglioso mi sembra d'obbligo!

Il menù era diverso rispetto alla volta precedente. Mio papà ha preso nuovamente i testaroli al pesto. Io invece, adorando il tartufo ho optato per un bel risotto e mia mamma per l'insalata d'inverno con tartufo, carciofi e uova di quaglia. Voi amanti del tartufo che state leggendo... non sentite il profumo solo guardando le foto? Il risotto era semplicemente meraviglioso. E questo ve lo dice una milanese! Mantecato perfettamente e leggermente al dente. Era effettivamente una quantità enorme, ma l'ho finito tutto e dopo non mi sono sentita appesantita.

Di secondo mia mamma ha ripreso il baccalà fritto come la volta scorsa e io e mio papà abbiamo diviso una costata gigantesca con dei buonissimi carciofi alla romana. Da esperta carnivora quale sono posso solo dirvi che credo che sia la più buona che io abbia mai mangiato. Al sangue, tenerissima e sugosa. Con un goccio dolio profumato.

Non essendo di fretta abbiamo fatto un giretto per il paese e abbiamo scoperto una piccola perla. Questa piccola cittadina medievale si trova nella Lunigiana, la parte più settentrionale della Toscana. È attraversata dal Magra ed è una fermata obbligatoria della Via Francigena.

Un aneddoto curioso: il nome Pontremoli deriva dal Ponte Tremulus, un ponte traballante sul fiume Magra ai tempi di Arrigo VI. Ancora adesso è una cittadina ricca di storia e tradizioni.

Ecco il Ponte Cesare Battisti "distrutto da cieco furore teutonico il 25 Aprile 1945. Ricostruito da geniale lavoro italiano nel Luglio 1947", con a fianco la Torre di Castelnuovo.

For the Immaculate Conception I went to Tuscany in Marina di Pisa, where we keep the boat. Along the way we decided to stop to eat at the Osteria della Luna in Pontremoli. I had already spoken about it in another post, but since this time I tryed new dishes and and since it went straight to the list of the restaurants of my heart... I thought I just had to write another post!

The menu was different than the last time. My dad took testaroli with pesto again. I, worshiping the truffles, opted for a nice risotto and my mom for the insalata d'inverno (winter salad) with truffles, artichokes and quail eggs. You lovers of the truffle that are reading... Don't you smell truffle just looking at the pictures? The risotto was simply wonderful. And I come from Milan! Creamed and cooked to perfection. It was indeed a huge amount, but I finished everything and after I didn't feel burdened.

Then my mother ate again the fried cod like and my dad and I we split a huge rib of beef with some delicious artichokes. As an experienced pitcher I can only tell you that I think it was the most delicious I've ever eaten. Very tender and juicy. With a little bit of fragrant oil on it.

Not being in a hurry we did a walk around the town and found a little pearl. This small medieval town is located in the Lunigiana, the northernmost part of Tuscany. It is crossed by the Magra and is an obligatory stop in the Francigena Street. A curious anecdote: the name Pontremoli comes from tremulus Bridge (in italian ponte tremulo), a rickety bridge over the river Magra at the time of Henry VI. Even now it is a town rich in history and traditions.
